Goal Setting

Good Morning!

Setting goals is like having a destination before takeoff. If you know where you're going, you can focus on the end result and get back on track if any obstacles get in the way.

Goal of the day: SET GOALS

Set distinct goals

Example: DO NOT say "I'll go to the gym today" ... say "I'm going to the gym at 2:00pm today for 1 hour"

Distinct goals will help you keep your goals, and will help you form a healthy, goal setting, habit as well.

Have a great day!

A very rainy Monday!

Good afternoon everyone,

Unfortunately, we cannot say that it is a beautiful day here in Bethesda, but at least most of us are probably inside! We think the area could use the rain, so no complaints here!

As we start a new week, we've all been looking into keeping better track of our metrics, so we can really utilize our time with our clients better. It is always important to keep in contact with people even if they may not be right for your company. Referrals are a huge part of any company's business, especially when it comes from customer satisfaction. You never realize how small a town or a business really is until you start hearing all about your dealings through people you've never actually met.

Always stay in contact with those around you, and watch your "Rolodex" grow!

Sincerely,
Your Champion Team

It's Friday!

Hi everyone,

We here at Champion hope you are having a great day so far! Today our associate, Lisa, took the new associates out for lunch in Bethesda!

We went to a place called Raku which had excellent food and service for it being 12:00pm, and the peak of lunch time. It was really nice to enjoy a great meal with great people, and we all really enjoyed it!

We are all currently working on separate projects, but it's all starting to come together! The new associates are really getting the hang of everyday events and it's been a great bonding experience this past couple of weeks! Have a great weekend!!

Cold Calling!

Good afternoon everyone,

Today our new associates learned the keys to Cold Calling. While we all know that can be a taboo phrase, it actually really helps you learn to think on your feet, especially when asked questions that you may not know the answer to. Our new associates sat around the boardroom table and passed around the BlackBerry and spoke to people for about 2 hours. It was a great experience and loosened everyone up. We're almost professionals at it now! (Almost)

Tomorrow we will tackle more phone calls, and hopefully have twice as much success.

In the mean time .. here are a few tips for "Warming up" cold calls! (http://bit.ly/9san4O)

Have a great night!

Sincerely,
Your Champion Team

Tuesdays mean hard work!

Good Morning Everyone!

Your Champion team successfully completed our 6th Crossfit Bethesda workout today, and we all are feeling very rejuvenated from it! We had a hard ~ 15 minute workout that was followed by an 800 meter run, which actually helps to loosen up your legs after the weightlifting!

Today your associates met for our Marketing and Culture meetings to discuss where we can take Champion in the future. Our marketing tactics are being built upon daily, and we plan on sharing some of our ideas with you in the future! Our Training meeting will commence tonight in order to continue to finalize how we'd like our training program to run. Stay tuned for more details!

No events lined up for us tonight, but if you know of any, remember to shoot an e-mail over to cr@champrecruit.com!

Have a great day!

Meet Lisa Slater!

Lisa SlaterLisa is a Director of Recruiting and a part of Business Development. Her interests outside of work include her family (Husband and 4 children - ages 14, 16, 18, and 20 - which keep her very busy!), playing golf, traveling, and going to the beach! She also enjoys any sports on TV, but mostly watching her kids play - Lacrosse and Ice Hockey. Lisa spends her time attending Washington Capitals games, working out daily, and cooking as well!
She enjoys her work at Champion because she likes to help our clients but also loves to meet fantastic candidates and hopefully make their lives better by getting them a great job! She thinks 'Our Champion family is so amazing!'
Look out for more employee introductions soon!

It's a new week!

Good morning followers,

Happy Monday! We hope you all have a great weekend and a great start to your week! We at Champion feel it is important to start off your week with a BANG, so we like to have a team meeting to go over our goals for the week. Goals are very important to set, even in your daily routine. Setting goals such as, "Do laundry today at 5:00pm", can help your day go by a lot smoother, and you will feel much more accomplished by the time you finish with your tasks.

Monday June 21st - To Do: SET GOALS!

We are currently looking for networking events to attend for the next couple of weeks, so if you have an ideas, please e-mail cr@champrecruit.com and tell us about them!

Have a great day!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!

On Wednesday we had a lunch presentation with speaker, Earl Mann (http://www.earlmann.com/), who taught us about Systems (Building a relevant social network), Cycles (The repeatable actions each person completes), Emotions (Emotional drivers behind what we do - "Why am I doing this?"), Meaning ("What is the meaning behind this action?" - Everyone has different meanings towards different situations), and Philosophy (Every situation gives each person a different meaning, that affects their emotions). Earl also taught us that we should all write down 5-10 Key Success Factors that will help us in life and with our job. These Success Factors should be things that you HAVE to be good at in order to do well within the key areas. With these words from Earl, your Champion team has identifed our Key Success Factors and we hope to use them throughout our careers and our life!

We attended an event last night at RFD Restaurant and Bar from 6:00 - 8:00pm, and we picked up a few Twitter pointers. Look out for our help with everyday business interactions, such as Tips to help your resume, Dos and Don'ts with handling your business cards, and interesting articles that we may come across (www.twitter.com/Champion_CRA)!

At breakfast this morning, your Champion Associates discussed new books that we have all begun reading. Make sure to look out for our periodical book reviews.

COMING SOON - Meet your Champions! We will begin to post pictures and background on the Champion Associates!

Make it a great day!

Crossfit!

Good Morning everyone!

Another Tuesday at Crossfit has come and gone, and we are all ... sore! Judd, at Crossfit, worked us hard - as usual - but we all powered through it and became even stronger! It is always important to push yourself physically and emotional throughout the week, because it can really show you how much you can take. We bet you're stronger than you think!

We are attending an event tonight at Clyde's in Rockville, MD. It's a huge networking event from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Look for the Champion team and don't be shy to say hi! Your 5 new associates will be there, and we are looking to network with you!

Have an awesome day!

Sincerely,

Friday!

Hi all!

We hope you've had a great morning so far. Your Champion Team started the morning off with a breakfast at Cosi, where we discussed the contents of the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill. We spoke about overcoming failure, creating reachable goals for yourself, and deleting the word 'impossible' from you vocabulary. It is always important to discuss goals with those around you, especially those people that will bring you up daily - meaning surround yourself with positive people. "You are the average of the five people you are around the most."

The event that we attended last night was a huge success! Each team player met and networked with different people, and we will be staying in touch with them and attending events that they have recommended for us! Look out for future updates on the events that we will be attending next week!
Make it a great day!

Crossfit Tuesday!

The Champion team just finished their second workout at Crossfit located in Bethesda, Maryland. It is in our plan to attend Crossfit sessions twice a week to generate good health and a bond between our teammates. It is the perfect way for us to begin a new chapter within Champion, this including the newly added associates, Chelsea, Demetria, Jordan, Kelsey, and Scott. An early workout always motivates the mind and focuses the team for the tasks at hand.

We are training and working hard to get better each time!

Have a great day!
